01-FRAS BOOSTER CYLINDER KIT

The Booster cylinder is designed to be mounted to the roof (cylinder mounting bracket not supplied) above the centre of the machine vent door on the inbye side with the rod positioned through the stopping material so the push plunger adaptor on the end of the rod lines up with a vertical reaction bracket (not supplied) attached to the top of the inside RHS upright of the initial machine vent door half to open first.

When the system is activated to open, the booster cylinder will extend causing the rod end push plunger adaptor to extend into the vertical reaction bracket of the initial machine vent/regulator door and assist the lager vent door cylinder push the initial half away from the machine vent/regulator door head frame once the system pressure increases enough to overcome the ventilation pressure acting on the machine vent/regulator door.

The machine vent/regulator door will continue to open moving away from the head frame causing the booster cylinder to run out of stroke and stay extended until the machine vent/regulator door is activated to close again.

Once the system is activated to close again, the booster cylinder will retract straight away allowing the machine vent/regulator door to close as per normal.

Please Note, neither the Booster Cylinder Roof Mounting Bracket nor the initial machine vent/regulator door half Vertical Reaction Bracket is supplied as part of this kit as every installation site is different and the brackets need to manufactured to suit each mine sites installation site.
